LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

  • Understand the key considerations for developing and validating an NGS assay
  • Identify common pitfalls/errors that occur in NGS-based assays (wet-bench and bioinformatic)
  • Through the use of case studies, recognize potential quality issues in NGS data/results

TARGET AUDIENCE

Individuals who have basic knowledge of molecular techniques and seek to understand the practical considerations of developing and validating an NGS-based assay, including pathologists, geneticists, laboratory directors, trainees, laboratory technologists, computational biologists and informaticians.
